CALL OUT: Festival Director - Hobiennale 2026
Hobiennale is a biennial festival presented by Constance ARI that brings together Artist Run Initiatives (ARIs) from across Australia and beyond. Working together to pair programs with sites, Constance and each participating ARI develop a project to be presented locally throughout Greater Nipaluna/Hobart. Spanning galleries, unconventional venues and public spaces, the festival promotes emerging and experimental art practices while celebrating the grassroots organisations that nurture them.
Hobiennale is a platform for connection, collaboration and critical dialogue within the small-to-medium arts sector. The festival’s mission is to provide an inclusive environment that champions the work of a diverse group of contemporary emerging and experimental artists, sparking conversations on cultural and artistic issues while engaging a wide and varied audience.
Following a five-year hiatus, Hobiennale is set to return in 2026. Constance ARI are seeking a new Director to lead the development and delivery of the festival, and nurture the myriad of relationships critical to its success.
