Call Out: Sorell Project! 


 


CALL OUT: Sorell Council + Constance ARI are seeking applications from artists living in, or connected to, the Sorell municipality to present a new, site-specific, temporary artwork or project in a public space of their choice in the Sorell council area, Mumirimina and Paredarerme country, in South Eastern Tasmania.



The Sorell council area extends from Fingerpost Road on the Tasman Highway to Dunalley.

We invite artists local to, or connected to, this area working in any art form to apply!

Previous experience with the display of artwork in public spaces is not required. For more info or to apply online head to our website. You can also apply in person at the Sorell Council offices. Applications close at midnight 30 November 2021.

Constance ARI and Sorell Council will provide support in terms of developing your project idea for the site, or finding a suitable location if you don’t have one in mind.

The project is supported by an artist fee and a material fee, as well as significant support from Constance ARI to produce the work

Site specificity is encouraged, and we ask you to tell us about the ideal site you would like your work located in, or if you have a site in mind, why your work belongs there.

Applications from First Nations and culturally and linguistically diverse artists are strongly encouraged.
