CONSTANCE is taking expressions of interest from curators for a project (ie. exhibition, performance, or event) to be presented in Hobart in August 2019. We strongly encourage applications from First Nations and/or diverse applicants. We also encourage applications from emerging and experimental artists engaged with current political issues, within Tasmania and afar. CONSTANCE runs on a site-less model, and will assist the successful applicant to negotiate and secure a space to suit your exhibition. We encourage applicants to consider the role of site in their proposals.
The successful applicant will receive a fee of $2000 and an additional $4000 budget, plus in-kind support from the CONSTANCE board to develop and facilitate your project.
We are aware that this is a tight turnaround time and are open to a proposal for a new iteration of a previous exhibition, or an exhibition that forms part of an ongoing project. Please contact us if you need help applying or if you have any questions. We are happy to facilitate different methods of application for applicants with specific needs.
Applications close 31st May
