Walls of Skin

Curated by Nani Graddon and Dominique Gartland

Walls of skin will include artworks that reference the human body. The artists use incongruous imagery of bodily forms. Pulling from an array of sources, they collage imagery together to communicate changing and interlocking narratives of body, technology, and myth. References to body-like parts will float through the exhibition space, dis-located from their normalised contexts. Unnerving, beguiling, a bit exciting, naughty, and fun, we hope to suggest to the audience a queering of bodily understanding and experience, asking them to contemplate their own bodies as a part of a spectrum of deconstructed, and forever changing notions of the human.

Live readings/performances will be taking place on Friday the 9th of June at 7PM
All are welcome
