Falling into Night

This work is concerned with the night; how perception changes in the dark and other senses become heightened. Nothing is certain in the night. It provokes anxiety and disorientation.
Similarly, nothing is certain in the world.
The tactility of these prints focuses on embodied impressions and interactions with the world. I am interested in focusing on these brief tactile impressions and expanding these moments so that what usually hovers on the edge of awareness becomes the focus of awareness in the work.
These shifting impressions of instability remind us that the ground is shifting under our feet as environmentaI degradation escalates and we are surrounded with the turmoils presented by the media.
The world is in constant flux and we are falling into uncertainty.
