Constance ARI

Constance ARI has partnered with the Youth Arts and Recreation Centre (YARC) again to deliver the second iteration of LAUNCH.

LAUNCH is an exciting and unpredictable exhibition that pairs established artists with young people to create bold and collaborative works that celebrate experimentation, mentorship, and creative exchange. This opportunity is a chance for young people to develop their artistic voices while building confidence and gaining valuable insight into the arts industry. Working across any medium of the young person’s choosing, the pairs’ projects range from songwriting to sculpture, drawing to mural painting, and anything in between. Visitors to LAUNCH will be offered a rare glimpse into the creative process, revealing what happens when collaboration, curiosity and imagination lead the way.

LAUNCH will be open across the Dark Mofo weekends as part of what organisers are calling DARK YARC.

We would like to express our gratitude to Workskills, Troublesmiths, HOMEBASE, Pulse Youth Health Service, and Karadi Aboriginal Corporation for partnering with us to select our eight young artists and to reach young people who access these services.

LAUNCH has been developed by Constance and YARC in response to the needs of community to have safe and strong mentorship for young people. We have invited them to share connections through art making with our mentor artists who we believe are impacting our world in positive, thoughtful and inquisitive ways. Constance ARI is pleased to fund this program through our organisational Arts Tasmania and Creative Australia funding.
